Who we are

Vibe House LLC runs memeSRC. This policy covers our website and the memeSRC apps for iPhone and Android, including our meme editor, photo editing tools, and features for uploading and sharing editable templates and other user-submitted content. What we collect

You can browse without an account. If you create one, we store details such as your email, username, sign-in information, plan, and preferences. Depending on the features you use, we also handle your searches, favorites, uploaded images and videos, captions, editable templates, projects, and support messages.

For catalog uploads, we also keep internal records connecting an account to its submissions and media or subtitle contributions, including records of attribution corrections. Authorized staff use these records to investigate provenance and manage the catalog; they do not establish copyright ownership.

We record usage and technical details to understand how memeSRC is used and troubleshoot problems. These can include pages and features used, browser and device details, IP addresses, timestamps, and errors. Usage records can be linked to your account when you're signed in, or a browser identifier when you're signed out.

In the iPhone and Android apps

• Photos and camera. The apps only access photos you choose or take with your camera, and save images to your photo library when you ask them to. Images leave your device when you use features that upload them, such as saving to your Library or an account project, creating an image link or shared template, using Magic Editor or image search, or attaching an image to a report.
• Signed-out use. When you use memeSRC without signing in, our sign-in provider assigns your device an anonymous identifier. We use it to run features for signed-out visitors, prevent abuse, and connect reports you send. It isn't tied to your name or email.
• Feedback and reports. When you report a problem or content, we receive your message, the screen or item involved, and device details such as model, operating system, and app version, plus any screenshots or logs you choose to include.
• Purchases. Subscriptions bought in the apps are processed by Apple or Google. We receive purchase records, such as the product, transaction and subscription identifiers, dates, and renewal status, to unlock memeSRC Pro and credits. We don't receive your card or bank details.
• Crash reports. If you choose to share analytics with Apple or Google, they may share crash and performance reports with us. The apps don't include advertising or third-party analytics tools, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Browser storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember settings, preserve work, and track usage. Some work is stored only in your browser. Clearing that storage can remove unsaved work and reset preferences; it does not delete data saved to your account.

How we use your data

We use this information to run our editing and search tools, save your work, carry out your sharing choices, process catalog submissions, manage accounts and purchases, answer support requests, review reported content, improve memeSRC, and prevent abuse. We don't sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

What other people can see

Templates you publish, including their images, title, and creator username, can be found by anyone. Other people can copy them to make their own edits. Shared template links and image links can be opened and passed on by anyone who has the link, even without an account. An unlisted link is not a private invitation.

Saving images, editable templates, or projects to your account does not publish them or make them available to other ordinary users. Authorized staff and service providers can access data as needed to operate the service, provide support, and review abuse reports. Copies someone has already saved may remain after you remove the original.

Submitting media to the searchable catalog is different from saving personal work. Catalog submissions are intended to be shared publicly. After an administrator approves processing, video segments made from the submission can be publicly accessible before the collection appears in search. Catalog media and subtitle files may also be accessible directly. Do not submit material you need to keep private to the catalog.

Services we use

We use service providers for hosting, sign-in, storage, and payments, including Amazon Web Services. Stripe processes payments on memesrc.com. Where in-app purchases are available, Apple or Google processes them. We receive billing and subscription details, but not your full card number.

When you use Magic Editor, we send the images and instructions needed for your edit to AI providers, including Google and OpenAI. This can include reference images you choose. We also use OpenAI to check submitted content and generated results for safety. We store edit requests and results so you can view and use them. Submitting a Magic edit sends that content to these providers; do not submit content you do not want them to process.

When you search with an image, we upload it to our own search service to find matching frames. We try to remove the temporary upload after the search. Automatic cleanup also applies to these uploads and their stored versions, but it can take longer than a day to finish.

Keeping and removing data

How long data stays depends on what it is and why we need it. We keep information to provide the service, maintain business and security records, and handle disputes or legal obligations.

You can update settings and delete saved items where those controls are available. You can delete your account on the web, or in app versions that offer account deletion. This removes your sign-in and the saved items listed on the deletion page, subject to its exceptions. Those include payment records, anonymous totals, deletion records with your internal account ID, records that prevent a deleted legacy account from being imported again, and system logs.

Account deletion currently also leaves Data Prep uploads and records, including private, unsubmitted drafts, source videos, transcripts, processed catalog media, and internal attribution records linking contributions to an account. This is a limitation of the current deletion process, not a claim that all of this data must be retained by law. Contact us to request its removal. Deletion does not recall copies already downloaded or saved by other people.

To ask about accessing, correcting, exporting, or deleting your data, email us. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to or restrict some processing, withdraw consent where we rely on it, or complain to a privacy regulator. We may need to verify your account. Some records may need to stay for security, fraud prevention, or legal and accounting requirements.

Other disclosures

We may disclose information when required by law or to respond to valid legal requests, protect people, investigate abuse, or enforce our terms. Copyright notices and counter-notices may be shared with the other party, including the contact details needed to handle the claim.

Children

memeSRC is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us so we can review it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as memeSRC changes. We'll update the date above when we do. See our Terms of Service for the rules that apply to using memeSRC, and contact us if you have questions.
